- “Fuckin Backstabber” is a diss track aimed at fellow Detroit rapper and former collaborator . Eminem wrote the song after hearing that Champtown had attempted to make a romantic advance toward his then-girlfriend, Kim Scott.
- The song’s intro features a secretly recorded phone conversation between Champtown and Kim.
- At this point, Eminem was still spelling his name as M&M.
- The release marks both the first official collaboration between Eminem and and Eminem’s last collaboration as part of Soul Intent, along with its B-side, “Biterphobia”.
- Eminem later made a sequel to the song titled “Backstabber” for his debut studio album Infinite.
