• “Backstabber” serves as a sequel to the 1995 Soul Intent single “Fuckin’ Backstabber,” performed by Eminem and Proof. The original was a diss track aimed at fellow Detroit rapper and former collaborator Champtown. Eminem wrote it after hearing that Champtown had attempted to make a romantic advance toward his then-girlfriend, Kim Scott.
