- This is a studio rendition of Eminem’s “Greg” freestyle, recorded after he signed to Interscope Records.
- The original version (with music) was released in 1998 on The Slim Shady LP Snippet Tape under the title “Verse 2.” Shortly after the release of The Slim Shady LP, “Verse 2” was bundled with two other freestyles from the tape and released as a free MP3 on eminem.com under the title “Three Verses.”
- Eminem previously performed this freestyle live in 1997 on a jam-packed episode of The Wake Up Show, rapping over “Kick In The Door” by

“I kicked this during my first big radio appearance. It was on the Sway and Tech [Wake Up] Show in L.A., the day after the Rap Olympics. That was actually one of the first few rhymes I wrote as Slim Shady. Yeah, it’s one to get you mad. This is another one of those verses I write to throw out there if somebody says, “Yo, let me hear you spit.” […] People used to ask me who Greg was. Honestly, I don’t know. […] If there is a kid named Greg with a wooden leg reading this, it was only a joke.
