Words from Eminem and Dina Rae
““Cum On Everybody” was another song I did between the EP and the LP. I wanted to make a dance parody. It was during that Puffy stage, when Puff was really hot. So when I wrote the song, I thought, “What if I made a dance song my way?” So I was taking the most ridiculous shit and then coming in with the hook … DJ Head did the original beat to it. I already had the hook, the hook was easy … No matter what I was talking about in the song, the subject would quickly change into some party shit.
“I met [Eminem] about nine months before he was introduced to the world. He was in Los Angeles, he had just signed to Dre, and a friend of mine who was working for Interscope at the time was driving him around. We bumped into each other in a parking lot at Jerry’s Deli. He asked my boy, “Who is that?” and he was like, “Oh, that’s Dina Rae, she sings all the hooks for the locals, blah blah blah,” and Em said, “Well, tell her to come to the studio the next day.” So, long story short, the next day I pull up at the studio and I recorded what became “Cum On Everybody,” then track 13 kept coming after.
