• The song’s censored version was first released on the clean edition of the album on May 23, 2000, replacing “Kim,” which was deemed too explicit to include even in censored form. Fans had to wait until September to hear the uncensored version, which was initially released exclusively in the UK before receiving a wider release on the CD single for “The Way I Am” on October 3, 2000.

I had too many songs for a 72-minute CD. We had 74 minutes, and I had a kids song from South Park that I wanted to put on the album. So in order to do that, we felt that the “Kim” song would be too fucked up to put in Walmarts and Kmarts, even if there was a clean version of it. So we said fuck it and put “Kids” on the clean version – which is still fucked up because every other word is spun back anyway. And then on the regular dirty version we put the “Kim” song on there.
