• On this track, Eminem reuses the “Criminal!” vocal stab from the The Marshall Mathers LP track “Criminal,” alongside alternate versions shouting “Genitals!” and “Emerald!” The song also follows the “Parking Lot” skit, which continues the bank robbery storyline introduced in “Criminal.”
• In preparation for the album, during their first discussion, Rick Rubin asked Eminem if there were any songs he had always wanted to sample and turn into a rap song. One of the songs Eminem mentioned was “Time Of The Season” by The Zombies, which became the main sample for this track.
• The phrase “rhyme or reason” is used to describe something that lacks sense or logic from both a poetic and rational standpoint — as in, “there’s no rhyme or reason to it.”
