I have a fascination with the movie Rain Man, hence my song “Rain Man.” That song title came to me in the booth-it wasn’t even written on paper. I just said, “Rain Man.” What I meant was, this is all I know how to do: rap. I can get in my car and drive, but I don’t know how to get places. I don’t know north, south, east, west. I’m pretty clueless overall about directions. The song goes, “I don’t know how else to put it, this is the only thing that I’m good at.” And it’s true. I’m always losing my keys, my driver’s license. When I went to New York City for gigs, I would get off the subway and end up 14 blocks the wrong way.
