Fans Disappointed with New EZ MIL × Eminem Collaboration
October 9, 2026
Rumours of a highly anticipated , and collaboration dropping at midnight were circulating last night, leaving fans hopeful that a potential classic was imminent. The speculation proved only half-true, though, as the track that arrived instead was a surprise Eminem feature on EZ MIL’s new single, “MADARA.”
The anime-inspired track also features contributions from Japanese rapper Hideyoshi and Neil Kaplan, the English voice actor behind Naruto villain Madara Uchiha. The song is expected to appear on EZ MIL’s upcoming 3RD WRLD VOL. 2 EP.
While the release gave fans new Eminem bars for the first time in 2026, the response across social media has been far from positive.
Much of the backlash has centred on Eminem’s heavily altered vocals, which producer Fred Wreck has claimed are not AI-generated. The effect featured prominently on 2024’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), but some listeners feel it has quickly become tiresome and doesn’t make sense outside the context of that album’s concept.
On Reddit, several fans praised Eminem’s verse, with some considering it the track’s only highlight. Others were less impressed, expressing fatigue with what they saw as recycled subject matter.
Beyond the song itself, the accompanying anime-inspired visualizer has attracted criticism of its own, with some viewers questioning its apparent use of AI-generated imagery.
There is, however, more new Eminem material on the horizon. The soundtrack for the upcoming Street Fighter film, due to arrive alongside the movie on October 16, is rumoured to feature a new 2Pac track with 50 Cent and Eminem, probably a remix of “Ambitionz Az a Fighta.” However, the collaboration has yet to be officially announced, having only been mentioned by 50 Cent.
Eminem is also set to appear alongside fellow Michigan rapper on “7 Sins,” a track from Rock’s upcoming Christian-themed album HALFWAY 2 JESUS, scheduled for release on October 17.
