50 Cent Confirms Eminem Has Stepped Back from Street Fighter Soundtrack
October 13, 2026
In a new interview on the red carpet of the new Street Fighter movie, confirmed that Eminem will no longer feature on the planned Street Fighter soundtrack collaboration, explaining that Slim “put a couple of pieces together for it,” but decided to withdraw from the track to focus on his next album. The news comes after 50 first revealed in July that the track would feature himself, Eminem and during an appearance on the TODAY show. Read more about the original announcement.
The update is a huge blow to fans who had been anticipating the collaboration, especially following the recent release of and Eminem’s “MADARA,” which received a largely negative response.
The news also comes amid backlash over Eminem’s upcoming collaboration with right-wing rapper , which is due out Saturday. The timing raises questions about 50 Cent’s explanation that Eminem stepped back from the Street Fighter track because its release was drawing too close to his next album, particularly with the Kid Rock collaboration arriving one day closer to the album’s release date.
One fan summed up their frustration in a post on Discord: “Eminem would rather do a song with Kid Rock than 50 Cent and 2Pac.” However, it may be best to wait and see whether the track makes its scheduled release before drawing that conclusion. Rumours that it has also been scrapped have been circulating following Kid Rock’s recent tweet: “Can you believe they are trying to get me to take several songs off my new album?”
During the brief interview with 50 Cent, he also confirmed that the song was a remix of 2Pac’s “Ambitionz Az a Fighta,” as previously suspected, adding that snippets can be heard in the Street Fighter movie. He did not confirm whether the track will appear on the film’s soundtrack album, leaving it unclear whether the song was left unfinished following Eminem’s departure.
Street Fighter is scheduled to hit cinemas this Friday, October 16, 2026.
